Two Mets prospects arrested for drag racing in Tennessee


A pair of New York Mets prospects were jailed over the weekend after police busted them in Tennessee for drag racing.

The troubled prospects, who both play for the Rookie-level Kingsport Mets, are 19-year-old Wuilmer Becerra Benavente and 20-year-old Vincente Lupo Perez.

According to police, Benavente was driving a 2013 Dodge Challenger when he was clocked at 107 miles per hour. Meanwhile, Perez was clocked at 104 miles per hour behind the wheel of a Ford Mustang.

Neither person who carrying a valid driver's license at the time of arrest.

Well, this is such a Mets thing to do.
