Ohio State football player arrested for drug possession, rioting

Ohio State Buckeyes defensive lineman Tracy Sprinkle was jailed early Saturday after being charged with multiple offenses which included drug possession and rioting.

According to the Columbus Dispatch, the redshirt freshman was arrested between 2 and 3 a.m. following an incident at a bar near Sprinkle's hometown of Elyria, Ohio. He was slapped with three charges: drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, and rioting/failure to disperse. As of 10 p.m. Saturday, Sprinkle was still being held in the Lorain City Jail.

A spokesman for the university says the team is aware of the incident. However, head coach Urban Meyer is on vacation and will deal with it appropriately when he returns. One can assume that a suspension is coming for Sprinkle.
