Waffle House: Americans should boycott Belgian waffles in support of U.S. soccer

On Tuesday, the United States will match up against Belgium in the Round of 16 in the World Cup. The winner of the contest will move on to the quarterfinals while the loser will quite literally go home.

As a show of support for the Americans, Waffle House is urging supporters of the United States men's soccer team to boycott Belgian waffles leading up to the pivotal match.

"We support a boycott on Belgian waffles," a representative for the All-American restaurant chain told TMZ Sports. The rep added, "We support America. We don't support Belgian waffles."

Well, there you have it. If you want to show your patriotism for the stars and stripes, hold off on dousing syrup on those Belgian waffles for the next couple of days.
