Video: Watch Rory McIlory hit a ball out of a bunker filled with cole slaw
Let's just all agree that Rory McIlroy is a wizard with a golf club.
As part of an experiment for ESPN's Sports Science, McIlroy was required to do some golf-related things that the average joe could only fail miserably at.
First, McIlroy had to drive a golf ball into a tight space in the complete and utter dark. Secondly, McIlroy was tasked with hitting his ball out of some serious cabbage. No, literally.
The 25-year-old had to whack his way out of a bunker consisting of 900 pounds of legitimate cole slaw. Keep in mind that the cole slaw was 20 times thicker than grass and the mayonnaise was 5,000 times more viscous than water. Amazingly, McIlory was able to chip out of the mess on his first shot attempt.
Then came the feat of putting in a 50-foot shot on a sheet of glass. As you might imagine, the glass plays a lot faster than PGA Tour greens. Naturally, McIlroy holes the putt on his second attempt.
