The trio of Dominic Artis, Brandon Austin and Damyean Dotson could face a campus ban of up to 10 years after the University of Oregon found them responsible for sexual misconduct.
The former men's basketball players allegedly sexually assaulted a female classmate on the night of March 8 at multiple off-campus locations. However, local prosecutors opted to drop the case after deeming there was insufficient evidence to prove the allegations beyond a resonable doubt.
All three players had already been dismissed from the basketball program as of May 9. But this latest ruling ensures that they won't set foot on campus for at least four years. And could be banned from the Eugene campus for up to 10.
Artis and Dotson were allowed to play in the NCAA Tournament even while the case was ongoing. Meanwhile, Austin was redshirting after transferring from Providence midway through the regular season.
