Well, apparently at least 167 people did after laying down bets that Suarez would bite during the Group D match. This is according to Darren Rovell who references online gambling site Betsson.
According to Rovell, the pre-match odds for Suarez to bite an opponent was at 175/1. The biggest winner took home $3,300 after Suarez made the infamous bite in the 79th minute of action.
FIFA has vowed to investigate the matter and Suarez could face a suspension and/or fine. This isn't the first time Suarez has used his teeth against the opposition either. In 2013, he was banned for 10 matches for biting a Chelsea player. In 2010, he was given a 7-game ban for biting a PSV Eindhoven player.
