Report: Three Oregon basketball players sexually assaulted woman at party
Three Oregon Ducks basketball players are being held out of team activities following their involvement in a police report that alleges the trio sexually assaulted a woman at a party and then an apartment in March.
Damyean Dotson, Dominic Artis and Brandon Austin are the players named in the cringeworthy police report that is full of graphic details. The report can be read in its entirety right here.
According to the Oregonian, the case will not be prosecuted though on the grounds of having insufficient evidence. The district attorney's office also offered up the following statement.
“While there is no doubt the incidents occurred, the conflicting statements and actions by the victim make this case unprovable as a criminal case.”
Sophomore guards Dotson and Artis averaged 9.4 points and 4.1 points per game, respectively, last season for Oregon. Meanwhile, Austin recently transferred from Providence and is/was expected to have a key role with the Ducks next year.
