Les Miles just couldn't resist harping on the fact that the Texas Longhorns did not have a single football player picked in the recent NFL Draft. For the record, it marked the first time since 1937 that the Longhorns have not had a student-athlete selected in the annual event.
During a Tiger Tour stop in Houston this week, Miles made light of this oddity by having some fun at the expense of Texas.
“Some schools in this state didn’t have any,” Miles said, according to Nola.com
On the flip side, the Tigers had a school record nine players pegged in the draft this year, obviously giving Miles plenty of ammunition when hitting the recruiting trail in the Lonestar State.
