Sitcom planning tribute episode to Ultimate Warrior

The creator behind the ABC sitcom "The Goldbergs" is planning to dedicate an upcoming episode to the Ultimate Warrior after learning of his childhood hero's death.

Creator Adam Goldberg desperately wanted to pay tribute to the Ultimate Warrior and thought producing a 1980s wrestling themed episode would do just the trick.

"With the help of fans on Twitter, I was able to get in touch with [Warrior's] family and I'm thrilled to dedicate the May 6th episode to him."

"It's my way of saying thank you for being the coolest hero a kid could ever have."

The Ultimate Warrior, real name James Brian Hellwig, died April 8 of an apparent heart attack caused by cardiovascular disease. He had been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on April 5 and made his last public appearances on April 6 and 7 at WrestleMania XXX and Raw, respectively.
