Photo: French soccer player threatening lawsuit over Burger King ad

Professional French soccer player Andre-Pierre Gignac is reportedly threatening to sue fast food giant Burger King for what he believes to be an offensive and deregatory advertisement.

For those of you who might be unaware, Gignac is not the slimmest player in the sport, and is often the target of unsavory chants from opposing fans about his weight.

In an attempt to capitalize on this, Burger King created an advertisement that pokes fun at the Marsailles striker. The full-page ad appears in local newspapers and reads "a Whopper for Gignac."

Obviously, Gignac is not a huge fan of the burger joint having some fun at his expense. So, he is reportedly threatening to take legal action against them.

Do you think this ad warrants such a drastic measure or should Gignac grow thicker skin?
