Chicago Cubs outfielder Junior Lake was not in the mood to go with the grain on Thursday. This would explain why he did arguably the most Cubs-like thing imaginable.
As you can see above, Lake trotted out in the first inning against the Pirates wearing the wrong jersey. He donned a jersey reading "CHICAGO" while the rest of his teammates and coaches wore away jerseys simply reading "CUBS" across the front.
By the second inning, Lake had conformed to wearing the appropriate uniform. But not before members of the media captured the spectacle for the rest of us to chuckle about.
