The Seattle Seahawks are facing a $40 million lawsuit from a man who is still pretty upset that the team didn't allow him to purchase tickets to last year's NFC playoffs.
According to the suit, John E. Williams III is suing the Seahawks over not letting him purchase tickets to the 49ers playoff game because he lives in Nevada.
Seattle's own website clearly stated that tickets were only available to people residing in Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Alaska and Hawaii. California and Nevada were not included on the list and it is assumed this was intentional in order to keep 49ers fans from buying up tickets.
Williams, who didn't specify to TMZ Sports whether he was a 49ers fan or Seahawks fan, says the dubious ticket policy goes against the spirit of the NFL and is seeking an exorbitant amount of money to make it right.
For the record, the average price of an NFL playoff ticket was around $400 last year.
