Mariano Rivera is no longer torturing major league hitters with tantalizing cutters due to retiring after the 2013 season. However, that doesn't mean Rivera isn't still putting in work.

According to For the Win, the legendary New York Yankees closer has been working on a memoir aptly entitled "The Closer," which is aimed toward younger audiences and scheduled to be released in September.

“I am excited to share my story with young readers – where I came from, my time as a New York Yankee, my family, and my faith,” said Rivera.

Rivera's story is certainly an intriguing one. He was the son of a fisherman in Panama and had never even heard of Babe Ruth when the Yankees first scouted him. Now, he's widely considered the greatest closer of all-time.
