The publicist who tried to save Royce White's career in the NBA is now suing her ex-client for more than $70,000 after White refused to pay his bills.
In 2012, China Myers was hired by White immediately after he was drafted by the Houston Rockets in the first round. The goal was for Myers to help strengthen White's image and reputation.
That turned out to be a difficult task for Myers as White continually stirred the pot with his anxiety disorder that most notably made him afraid to fly.
Myers said she paraded White around on several television shows and HBO's "Real Sports" in an effort for White to get his message out to the public. Whether or not it helped is a completely different story.
All totalled, Myers claims that White refused to pay his bills from the beginning, and now owes his former publicist $73,153.25 in back pay and other related fees. T
o make matters worse for White, his professional basketball career appears to be on the rocks after getting dropped by the Sacramento Kings from their NBDL team.
