Cris Carter's wife allegedly headbutted over tennis match

The wife of Hall of Fame wide receiver Cris Carter was allegedly headbutted during a tennis match over a disputed line call.

All was going well for Melanie Carter while playing in a doubles match at the Seasons of Boca Raton community center until when of the women on the other team asked the line judge to clear up a disputed call.

According to a police report, Carter did not care too much for the call, which eventually led to her and the other player getting in each other's face and arguing.

At this point, Carter alleges that the woman dared her to "hit me," but opted for headbutting Carter instead. This led to a full on fight as the two wound up on the ground wailing on each other.

The other woman denies the headbutt and claims Carter threw the first punch.

No arrests have been made at this point.
