According to Ann Killion of the San Francisco Chronicle, Jim Harbaugh's "act has worn thin" among several members of the San Francisco 49ers locker room.
"One source with inside knowledge of the team says that Harbaugh's act has worn thin in the locker room, particularly among some key 'face of the 49ers' type players," Killion writes. "While the team is winning, that's not a problem. But a few losses could expose a widening rift."
This shouldn't come as too much of a surprise considering the 49ers were reportedly looking to trade their polarizing coach recently. However, it's hard to argue with results and Harbaugh has certainly delivered them in three seasons with the 49ers. All in all, Harbaugh owns a .766 winning percentage while taking the team to three straight NFC Championship games.
So, unless circumstances get really bad, perhaps San Francisco should put whatever rift they have with Harbaugh aside, unless losses start taking the place of wins.
