Photo: Toledo Mud Hens going to great lengths to keep field in shape

This winter has been historically bad for most of the United States. Snow, ice, and general cold have left much of the country battered and chilled.

This is what makes the effort put forth by the Toledo Mud Hens to fight back against winter so noble. Seen here is an unorthodox attempt by the Triple-A club to protect their beloved infield with a massive tarp of some kind.

"What do you do when your field is covered in snow & ice and it's 32 days until #OpeningDay? You get out the heaters," wrote the Mud Hens as a caption to the Instagram photo.

You have got to respect Toledo's efforts. Hats off to them.
