Michael Bennett's new $28.5 million contract with the Seahawks is going to come in handy when paying up for the puppy he abandoned last year.
Bennett was slapped with a lawsuit by the Lucky Dog Boarding Facility after the defensive lineman dropped off his boxer named Koa and never returned. The boarding facility allegedly made several attempts to contact Bennett, but the latter never responded to their inquiries, resulting in Lucky Dog taking legal action.
According to TMZ Sports, a Florida judge has ordered Bennett to pay $8,268.80 immediately. Plus, the amount will carry an interest rate of 4.75 percent per year until it is paid in full. If not, the judge has ruled that a collections agency could seize his assets.
