The 14th-seeded Mercer Bears scored the biggest upset of the tournament thus far when they knocked off the 3rd-seeded Duke Blue Devils on Friday afternoon.
After the game, Mercer head coach Bob Hoffman didn't hold anything back in his post-game interview, clearly wearing his emotions on his sleeves and shouting enthusiastically at the top of his lungs.
Oh, and he also told reporters that he's "a psycho" after being asked where his passion comes from.
“Well I’m a psycho. I mean, I’m just a big psycho. Whatever I do, I’m all in. Whether it’s at church worshipping, if it’s on the floor coaching, if it’s eating friend chicken, getting my iced tea, I’m all in. I’m going to give all I got and that’s just how I’m wired … “
If only we all approached eating fried chicken with such tenacity as Hoffman...
