A fan attending Friday night's exhibition game at Olympic Stadium between the Blue Jays and Mets remains hospitalized after sustaining a scary fall from the stands.

According to Montreal police, the unidentified 40-year-old fell roughly 35-50 feet to the ground behind the wall in center field. The incident occurred around 10:20 p.m. toward the end of the game.

The fall has been ruled an accident and no foul play is believed to be involved. In fact, witnesses believe the man was trying to incite fans to do "The Wave" when he lost his balance and fell.

The man was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition with injuries described as life-threatening. On Saturday, his condition has reportedly improved as he is listed in stable condition.

  1. Some idiot trying to start the ever-MORONIC wave is nearly killed?? I've been wrong all along. I think there just might be a God. And I support his efforts to kill idiots starting the wave.
Any way we can to make this stop is fine with me. Just stop for Christ's sake!
