New video game 'inFAMOUS: Second Son' features two unlockables inspired by Seattle Seahawks

The third installment in the inFAMOUS video game franchise, inFAMOUS: Second Son, has been released and it features two unlockables inspired by the reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.

Developed by Sucker Punch Productions and produced by Sony Computer Entertainment for PlayStation 4, the game is the first in the franchise to take place in a real city. Naturally, the Seattle-based company ultimately chose the Emerald City for its game locale.

As noted Seahawks fans, the developers of the game wanted to honor the success of their NFL team in some way, so they created two unlockables for inFAMOUS: Second Son. The first is a No. 12 decal for the main character's jacket to pay homage to the team's heralded 12th Man. The second is a virtual billboard, which features a strapping Seahawk in a football uniform, with the words "Seattle Football...World Champs" placed around the city's open world environment.

Furthermore, the game also boasts a number of prominent Seattle landmarks, including the Space Needle, the Fish Market, and the Gum Wall. The developers said they really wanted to make the game "a love letter to their city" and they believe they did just that by making Seattle a main character in and of itself.

The game was officially released last Friday (March 21, 2014) and has received generally positive reviews from critics with many stating they enjoy the game's combat experience.
