Video: O.J. Mayo takes defensive possession off to tie his shoe

It's well known that defense isn't always a priority in the NBA regular season. This video clip showing O.J. Mayo tying his shoe during a defensive possession isn't likely to scrap that perception.

With the Bucks trailing with just one minute to go until halftime, Mayo picked out a spot in the corner and proceeded to tie his shoes. Fortunately, the Nuggets didn't choose to take advantage of Mayo's vulnerability as a defender, so no harm was done.

But the scene is still a good depiction of how defense can become suspect this time of year. Especially considering Milwaukee is sporting the worst record in the NBA while Denver is six games out of the eighth-playoff seed in the West.
