Mike Ditka takes a shot at President Obama's salary compared to Roger Goodell's

In a recent question and answer piece for the Chicago Sun-Times, Mike Ditka was asked what he thought about the disparity between NFL commissioner Roger Goodell's salary and President Obama's. The response he gave suggests a subtle hint that he's not enthused of the job President Obama is doing.

4. Were you shocked to find out NFL commissioner Roger Goodell makes more than $44 million? President Obama makes $400,000.

Well, Goodell is doing a better job. He deserves it. No, I don’t have any problem with it. The owners pay him that. He’s the CEO of the NFL, and they feel he’s done a pretty darn good job to earn it.

To be fair, President Obama and the First Lady reported $608,611 on their joint 2012 tax return, so that's a little more chunk of change than $400,000. However, it doesn't negate the fact that Ditka doesn't seem to think President Obama is worthy of his salary, even if it's roughly 100 times less than Goodell's. Whether or not Obama is doing a good job is debatable, but in defense of the president, I would venture to say that his job is a little more challenging and stressful than the NFL commissioner's.

  1. What a pathetic Human Being. Let Ditka try being the leader of this COMPLICATED and COMPLEXED country.

  2. I'd prefer the President would try being the leader of this COMPLICATED and COMPLEX country

  3. I prefer if you don't know what you're talking about you should stay quiet!

  4. Osama bin Obama deserves s**t. He's thrown this great country and it's citizens into bankruptcy with his bs "obamacare" mandates and a ton of other crap. Lowest president rating in the past 30 years.

  5. How about Wilbon not wanting the N word thrown out cuz the Redskins name is staying. I bet he didn't know the word Oklahoma means "red people" in Choctaw. Maybe we should rename the state of Oklahoma and then we could rename the Washington, DC football team. Fat chance of that happening. Hey, here's an idea. Let's rename Oklahoma the N word. What are your thoughts?

  6. people always having something to say about a job they know nothing about when the bushe's where running this country in the ground we heard nothing from the group of people who seem to always have a non supportive view of our present who is left to fix the mess that was made long before he took office give me a break. I am sick of all the nay sayers that really believe that someone else could have done a better job my experience with country is that anytime some one wants to do anything for the have nots in this country the people who have start bitchin about our leadership shut the hell up ditka stick to what you know which judging by your comments isn't much.
