Dutch speedskating coach smears United States, football during interview

The Netherlands have had a remarkable run during the 2014 Winter Olympics when it comes to speedskating. And the coach responsible for much of that success, Jillert Anema, recently offered up his opinions as to why.

But Anema didn't just stop there. He also gave his thoughts as to why the Americans have not had the results they were hoping for.Well, let's just say the Dutch coach didn't mince words at all.

The following is what he said about the U.S. during an interview with CNBC.

"You have a lot of attention for foolish sport, like American football. You waste a lot of talent, athletic talent, in a sport where it's meant to kill each other, to injure each other. … And when you compete once every four years, with talent, with a few lone wolves, who are skating, you can't beat the world, it's no way.

You're [the US] is so narrow-minded, and you waste a lot of good talent in a sport that sucks."

Narrow-minded? Foolish? Waste of talent? Bashing American football?

Whoa. Those are fighting words right there.

The new public enemy No. 1 in America has got to be this guy.
