76ers waive Earl Clark less than a day after acquiring him

Earl Clark Cavs

Less than a day removed from acquiring him, the Philadelphia 76ers have waived forward Earl Clark.

Clark was part of the trade that sent Spencer Hawes to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday. On Friday, the 76ers decided they wanted nothing to do with the University of Louisville product.

If Clark makes it through waivers, which amounts to a 48-hour length of time, he will become an unrestricted free agent.

Last offseason, Clark inked a two-year deal worth $8.5 million with the Cavs, though the second year was not guaranteed.

The 26-year-old average 5.2 points and 2.8 rebounds per game for the Cavs.
