Yasiel Puig won't find himself behind a wheel anymore.
According to Mark Saxon of ESPN Los Angeles, the Dodgers outfielder has decided to hire his cousin as his personal driver for the time being. The move comes after Puig has been arrested twice over the past eight months for reckless driving. This was obviously enough to spur Puig to give up the keys for a while.
For the record, Puig was arrested in April 2013 for going 97 mph in a 50 mph zone in Tennessee. The reckless and speeding charges were eventually dismissed after he performed community service. However, his latest blemish came when he was busted in Florida for going 110 mph in a 70 mph zone. He may not be so lucky to get off so easily this time around.
Fortunately, Puig has made the wise decision to avoid getting in trouble for speeding by choosing the passenger seat, instead. Well, at least for the time being.
