Photo: Nike unveils cold gear for Super Bowl

This year will mark a different Super Bowl of sorts as the cold weather is expected to play a role in the game unlike year's past.

So, in an effort to offset the harsh winter weather that New Jersey may hold on Feb. 2, Nike has designed and released some slick new gear to help players cope with the environment.

These custom-made items include fleece-lined gloves (seen above), goose down parkas, heavy jackets, boots, and hooded compression shirts. You can check out images of the other items by following this link to Helmet2Helmet.

In my opinion, the heavy jacket looks like something astronauts might wear on the moon. Or maybe it's just made entirely of aluminum foil?
