Video: You won't believe how the Sabres-Coyotes game ended

SBNation

The Phoenix Coyotes dropped a heart-breaker in overtime Monday night to the Buffalo Sabres. But that in and of itself isn't exactly newsworthy.

What is newsworthy, however, is the manner in which the Coyotes lost, which can only be appreciated while listening to "Yakety Sax" when watching the video clip.

The incident unfolded when Buffalo's Mark Psysk knocked the puck up in the air near Phoenix's net. This is when Coyotes goalie Mike Smith somehow managed to secure the puck in the back of his pants.

Clueless as to where the puck landed, Smith then did what goalies are trained to do, which is retreat back to the net, except this move proved to cost Phoenix the game-winning goal and subsequently the game.
