With nearly two months to go until the 2014 Super Bowl, advertisements for the momentous event have already been sold out. By comparison, this is about a month and a half earlier than advertisement slots for last year's Super Bowl were booked.
All in all, 43 advertisers have pledged to plug their company within the upcoming Super Bowl broadcast. And the going rate for a 30-second commercial was a record $4.5 million this year. That figure shatters last year's $4 million mark.
Advertisers annually jockey for inclusion into the big game due to its insane amount of worldwide viewers. There is perhaps no sporting event that surpasses the amount of eyeballs that the Super Bowl garners each year. And that is extremely important for advertisers who want to get their message out to the public.
