Report: Tim Tebow accepts broadcasting role with ESPN

According to a press release published Monday afternoon, Tim Tebow, arguably the most polarizing athlete in all of sports, has agreed to join ESPN and serve as a college football analyst for the SEC Network's pregame show "SEC Nation."

Although Tebow is sticking his toes in the broadcasting waters, Monday's press release also stated that Tebow still has aspirations of playing in the NFL, and this new broadcasting gig will not spell the end of his pursuit of that dream.

Here is a quote from Tebow courtesy of the release:

“I am so excited that ESPN has given me this incredible opportunity,” said Tebow. “When I was six years old I fell in love with the game of football, and while I continue to pursue my dream of playing quarterback in the NFL, this is an amazing opportunity to be part of the unparalleled passion of college football and the SEC.”

Tebow will be paired with longtime ESPN personality Joe Tessitore. Tessitore has been with the four-letter network for over a decade and has covered boxing, college football, and college basketball.

Tebow's first appearance on "SEC Nation" is currently scheduled for Aug. 28 ahead of the Texas A&M-South Carolina game.
