Photo: Restaurant chain apologizes for racist sign about Redskins and Chiefs

Sonic Drive-In is scrambling to save face after one of its franchises in Belton, Mo. decided to promote Sunday's Kansas City Chiefs-Washington Redskins game with a racist sign.

The sign in question said, "'KC CHIEFS' WILL SCALP THE REDSKINS FEED THEM WHISKEY SEND - 2 - RESERVATION."

Both the franchise owner and Sonic have since issued an apology and the sign was taken down hours later.
