Earl Dennison Woods Jr., the half brother of Tiger Woods, was arrested Thursday after police said he called in a bomb threat to an Arizona Department of Economic Security office in Phoenix.
The 58-year-old Woods, who works at the office, later admitted to supervisors and authorities that he made the threat as a joke.
Nonetheless, Phoenix police were all over the scene at about 8:30 a.m. after the caller, who was later properly identified as Woods, said he possessed a bomb that was going to blow up the building.
Naturally, the building was quickly evacuated and searched, but no bomb was found.
During the search, Woods confessed to the prank to both authorities and management.
Woods was handcuffed and booked into a Maricopa County jail on suspicion of use of an electronic communication device to terrify, intimidate, threaten or harass, which is a misdemeanor.
