Katherine Webb: 'I'm really nervous' about Iron Bowl

Katherine Webb admits she is a bit nervous about attending this Saturday's Iron Bowl between Alabama and Auburn at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Webb, a 2011 graduate of Auburn as well as the famed girlfriend of Crimson Tide quarterback AJ McCarron, will be cheering for her alma mater's biggest rival in arguably the most pivotal game to date for either school.

“This is the first actual game, Iron Bowl, that I will be attending,” she told USA TODAY Sports last week. “I don’t know what to expect and I’m really nervous.”

Wait, first Iron Bowl? Webb explained.

“I didn’t get to go to the Iron Bowl whenever I was in school because I ended up having to sell my student ticket because I was running low on cash,” she says.

That obviously isn't a problem anymore for America's unofficial darling.

Asked later in the interview whether she was nervous for the game because of fans, Webb clarified things by saying that isn't what she meant at all.

“I’m not nervous about the fans,” says Webb. “Of course I want to see AJ have that fourth championship ring, so I really want them to do well. That’s what I’m nervous about. I’m not nervous about his talent or abilities as a player. Of course, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous about the outcome.”

The winner of the game will earn a right to play in the SEC Championship game in Atlanta. Will the Tigers be able to derail Alabama's quest for a third straight national title?
