Video: High school cheerleader breaks record for consecutive backflips

Behold, the high school cheerleader who holds the world record for most consecutive back handsprings.

Marie Klein of Walsh Jesuit High School (Cuyahoga Falls, OH) completed the remarkable feat before one of her school's football games last month.

All totaled, the junior successfully executed 40 backflips in a row while traveling more than three-quarters of the length of a football field. She broke the previous record set of 36 set last year.

“It was crazy,” Klein said. “I loved the way the crowd reacted. My mom was crying. It didn’t feel real at times as I did it. I almost passed out, but I kept going. I am real excited to have the record. Now I want to break my own record.
