Oregon's defensive coordinator rips Mike Leach for passing too much

Timothy J. Gonzalez/The Statesman

The Oregon Ducks cruised past the Washington State Cougars, 62-38, Saturday night. And they had to defend 89 pass attempts by the Cougars, a new football bowl subdivision record, in the process.

After the game, Oregon defensive coordinator Nick Aliotti was not too happy about Washington State's insistence to air out the pigskin, and he had some things to say about it toward Mike Leach, too.

“I’m pissed off that they scored those last two touchdowns. I know you can’t print ‘pissed off,’ and I know I’m not a diplomat and I don’t care if I’m a diplomat. I really don’t….. All I really care about is winning games and if the kids get better and we play hard. I thought we did that in the second half. But that’s total [expletive] that he threw the ball at the end of the game like he did. You can print that, you can send it to him, and he can comment too. I think it was low-class and it was [expletive] to throw the ball when the game’s completely over against our kids that are basically our scout team, OK? Make sure he knows that, because I don’t really care.”

Those are fighting words right there, guys.
