Harry Potter has crazy fantasy football name

Daniel Radcliffe after an autograph session in Venice.

There are two things to know about actor Daniel Radcliffe, better known as the guy who played Harry Potter, when it comes to fantasy football.

The first thing is that he really, really, really likes fantasy football. And the second thing is that his fantasy football team boasts a name unrivaled by any other: Barkevious Mingo’s Mum.

From the New York Daily News:

Um, my team name is Barkevious Mingo’s Mum. I just think Barkevious Mingo is the greatest name I’ve ever heard, and the fact that his mum invented that name is also amazing. And in that league I have the Cleveland defense as well, and they had an amazing game the other day against Buffalo, so I’m incredibly grateful to the Cleveland defense, Barkevious Mingo and his mother.

If you don't believe the fact that Radcliffe is obsessed with fantasy football...

It’s just a fantastic sport. I watched it ever since I came over and was doing “Equus” in the Broadhurst Theater. I got christened a Giants fan that year by the crew who were working there. I took an interest then, but when I got into fantasy football, that’s when my level of obsession with the game increased and my understanding of it grew very quickly as I realized that if I was not going to completely embarrass myself in this league then I was going to have to put in some serious time learning about it.

Radcliffe also confessed that he engages in "an insane amount of mock drafts" when he has "nothing else to do" with his time.

It's a great interview and definitely worth the read. Check it out.
