Arkansas bans t-shirt launcher after intern injures leg in expolosion

The Arkansas Razorbacks will not be using the beloved t-shirt launcher for this Saturday's game after an intern injured his leg when the launcher exploded during last weekend's victory over Louisiana-Lafayette.

The incident reportedly occurred shortly after kickoff at Razorback Stadium last Saturday.

A loud boom and the release of air pressure could be heard throughout the stadium as the man holding the launcher immediately fell to the ground.

He was tended to by medical trainers and taken from the stadium on a stretcher.

His identity and current condition isn't known.

According to witnesses, part of the launcher hit an overhang above the lower level of the east grandstands following the explosion.
For those who may not be aware, t-shirt launchers, which are powered by high-pressure air tanks, are used at several University of Arkansas sporting events.

  1. I hope he's okay. I was in that corner and heard the explosion. It sounded like a gunshot. Of course, I just hope he's okay. I'm not sure the T-shirts were folded into little tube-shaped packets like they should be. When he was shooting them out, they were coming undone. I don't know if that had anything to do with it.
