It's not too often a pitcher gets hits with a throw, this is usually reserved for the hitters in the batter's box, but such was the case for Houston Astros hurler Brad Peacock on Friday.
With a man on base and two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning, Peacock uncorked a pitch to Angels hitter Peter Bourjos, who squirted the ball foul after attempting to bunt his way on base.
This is when home plate umpire Paul Schrieber reaches into his ball pouch and proceeds to whip one back in the direction of Peacock. The only problem with this is that Peacock is totally unprepared and the ball nails him squarely in the left shoulder.
The look on Peacock's face is priceless immediately after the deed is done.
The right-hander would be okay, though. He stayed in the game until the bottom of the seventh and wound up recording the win to improve to 2-4 on the year.
