The gossip site TMZ has managed to get its hands on a couple of letters written by convicted child rapist and former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky.
One of the letters is dated from May while the other is dated from June. In the letters, Sandusky insists that he's "trying to get better" and is having a "very challenging" time living life behind bars. It is very clear that the 69-year-old is struggling.
"I've been quite confined, always searching for purpose," Sandusky writes. "It is very challenging."
Sandusky continues to maintain his innocence in the letters and promises to keep fighting the case "until the last whistle."
Sandusky is currently serving a 30-60 year prison sentence for sexually abusing over a dozen young boys during his time as a coach at Penn State.
