Photo: David Price throws off mound wearing Vanderbilt football uniform

Tampa Bay Rays ace David Price is a proud product of Vanderbilt University.

The Murfreesboro, Tenn. native spent three seasons as a member of the Commodores baseball squad before eventually being taken first overall in the 2007 MLB Draft.

Price has garnered three All-Star appearances and a Cy Young Award since his time in Nashville, but that doesn't mean he has forgotten his roots.

On Wednesday, the folks at MLB Cut4 snagged this photo of the 28-year-old paying homage to his alma mater by working out in full Vanderbilt football attire. As you can see, Price wore everything from the tight fitting pants, black and gold jersey, and the star-studded helmet.

Do you think he's ready for college football season to start?
