Jose Canseco goes on Twitter tirade against Little League World Series umpires

The Little League World Series is arguably the pinnacle of amateur baseball at its finest. In fact, the event is one of the most enjoyable sporting tournaments of the year and it's really hard to find anything major to complain about it.

Well, unless your former Major League Baseball slugger Jose Canseco.

Apparently, Canseco just couldn't hold his tongue while tuning in to some LLWS action. And the controversial figure took to Twitter Saturday afternoon to voice his discontent with the umpires.

Here are some of his tweets...
Okay, I think you get the point.

Canseco is not a fan of the umpires.

  1. I agree completely. I made the same comments to my brother as we watched this game. We would rewind just to see how far off the plate each called strike was and I could not believe he called pitches a foot off the plate a strike.

  2. One must remember, from home on TV you are not looking dead on, you are looking from an angle. Regardless, you must have something better in your life to do than be critics of little league umpires after watching umps in the MLB blows calls all the time.

  3. Once again, Jose is right. They are told to move the game along and they intepret this to mean 100% of the time. With some of the kids who have decent control, the strike zone does not need to be as wide. Don't compare these guys to major league umps; he's sepcifically saying balls and strikes. Most major league umps make mistakes on base calls; not balls & strikes.
