80-year-old weightlifter suspended after busted for doping

The United States Anti-Doping Agency has busted another individual for steroids and his name is not Lance Armstrong.

His name is Don Ramos of Colorado Springs, Colo. and the 80-year-old was caught cheating after attempting to set a new world record in his age group at the Pan American Masters Weightlifting Championships in June.

On Friday, the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency announced Ramos had failed a urine test given at the event in Chicago and subsequently handed the man a two-year suspension, thus barring him from competition until July 2015.

This is obviously a huge blow to Ramos and his weightlifting career as the window of time is already closing on him.

This isn't the first time USADA has cracked down on elderly men doping. In 2011, the agency suspended nine masters athletes for positive tests, including one in his 50s an three in their 60s.
