Video: Woman nearly decapitated when ball rips through net at Nationals game

They
Don't Make Nets Like They Used To

The lady sitting in the front row behind home plate at the Nationals-Dodgers game Saturday night received a major wake-up call when a foul ball came within an inch of nailing her directly in the face.

The frightful moment came in the top of the ninth inning when Nationals closer Rafael Soriano delivered a pitch to Dodgers pinch-hitter Jerry Hairston Jr.

As you can see, Hairston fouls the ball straight back to the netting, except the ball rips through the protective barrier, and nearly causes major harm to the lady who was just yawning seconds before.

Pretty scary stuff!
