Video: Clayton Kershaw tries to stop ball by throwing glove

Los Angeles Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw made a valiant effort with his glove Tuesday night.

The moment came in the bottom of the sixth inning when Colorado Rockies hitter Josh Rutledge attempted to bunt his way on base.

Kershaw was having none of that, though. Watch the southpaw spring off the mound after Rutledge's ball and tries to stop its momentum by throwing his glove at it.

As you can see, Kershaw is unsuccessful, but he does end up flagging the ball down and recording the out.

But not before leaving the announcers all dazed and confused about the play's legality.

  1. That's a total A-Rod move. How classless is that. Lost all respect.
