Colorado Rockies star Carlos Gonzalez may have indulged in a huge bag of popcorn before Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
How else can you explain the fact that he lost the grip on his bat three times in the contest?
Watch in the video above as his grip continually gets worst during each time. The first time isn't a huge deal at all. His hand just slips off the bottom of the handle.
The second time results in the bat flying in front of the plate after striking out. And the third time results in a complete loss of the lumber as Gonzalez sends his bat flying into the stands in the ninth inning.
I'm sure the fact that Clayton Kershaw was pitching had something to do with it.
It was that kind of night for Gonzalez and the Rockies. CarGo was 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in their 8-0 defeat to the Dodgers.
