Mark Richt: 'Jadeveon Clowney is best football player in the world'

The legend of South Carolina Gamecocks defensive end Jadeveon Clowney continues to grow.

The junior-to-be is expected to be the top overall pick in next year's NFL draft and for good reason. Clowney boasts an exceptional blend of size, speed, and power that wreaks havoc on opposing offenses.

One of the people who knows Clowney all too well is Georgia Bulldogs head coach Mark Richt. Richt is already a believer that Clowney is the best player in football despite still being in college.

“I would say Clowney is the best football player in the world though. Seriously. I think he might be the very best player who exists today, at any level,” Richt said, via the Macon Telegraph.

This is pretty high praise even for a player as talented as Clowney. There are dozens of great players in the NFL that would likely have a thing or two to say about him being the best football player on the planet. Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, and Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson are a few that come to mind.
