Jerry Sandusky's son seeking to have name changed

The son of former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky is seeking to legally change his last name more than one year after his father was found guilty of child sexual abuse.

Matt Sandusky filed the official papers in court on Tuesday to have the last name of him and his family changed forever. Although the documents were sealed, it was evident that he filed for a name change, along with his wife and four children.

Matt Sandusky was originally expected to testify in the defense of his father, but told investigators before the trial began that he had also been abused by Jerry Sandusky.

In June 2012, Sandusky was convicted on 45 counts of sexual abuse and is currently serving a 30-to-60-year prison sentence.

He continues to maintain his innocence and is pursuing appeals.

  1. Can't say that I blame him.

  2. Sandusky, the football coach, was a weirdo. I wish I had seen him in the act of molesting that young boy in the shower at Penn State--he would have had a shower head shoved up his rectum after I kicked his butt.
