Video: Tommy Milone waves off ball boy after hit

Oakland A's pitcher Tommy Milone doesn't get to run the bases much. This probably has a lot to do with the fact that he doesn't get to bat much either because of playing in the American League.

However, the southpaw got to do both Monday night in Milwaukee. In the top of the seventh, Milone laced a hard single up the middle to earn his way onto the basepaths.

Normally, the custom is for someone from the dugout to bring the pitcher a jacket to wear while he peruses around the bases. This is exactly what the A's ball boy does when he begins to trot out toward first base for the delivery.

But Milone waves the poor guy off before he manages to get there and sends him right back where he came from with the jacket in hand. Who needs a jacket? Apparently, Milone doesn't.

The end result is a comical spectacle as Brewers fans boo the ball boy off the field.
