The only way to describe the atmosphere at Petco Park Thursday night during the Dodgers-Padres game was that it was extremely dead.
This is because the Padres played host to "Zombie Night" at the stadium as hundreds, if not thousands of fans, dressed up as living dead for the occasion. And it wasn't to shoot a remake of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" music video, either.
Seen here is the scene which occurred immediately following the ceremonial first pitch as a number of zombies invaded the field of play and spooked the daylights out of one poor man.
This is scary stuff!
As for the game itself, the Padres doubled up the Dodgers, 6-3, despite Yasiel Puig hitting yet another home run in the magnificent start to his big league career.
