Video: Norichika Aoki snubs fan of souvenir

Milwaukee Brewers right fielder Norichika Aoki wasn't in the giving mood Friday night.

This much can be assumed after Aoki snubbed a Reds fan of a souvenir.

The moment occurred in the bottom of the 10th inning when Brandon Phillips hit a lazy foul ball high into the air and near the first base stands. Aoki tracked it down and made the catch as a Reds fan sitting in the front row tried to secure the ball, as well.

Naturally, this set up an awkward exchange between the visiting player and the home fan. As you can see, the Reds fan really wants to get his hand on that baseball, but he has to settle for a high five from Aoki, instead.

The Reds fan got the last laugh, though, as Jay Bruce stepped to the plate and delivered a walk-off home run just moments later to send the Great American Ball Park crowd home happy.

  1. LOL! Aoki didn't get that you do this in the USA. (It's not common practice in Japan.)
